U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day 2009
(Exhibition, Reception and Dinner)
On October 7th, leaders of business, industry, academia, and government gathered in Washington, DC, to join with consumer representatives and experts in
science and technology for a celebration of the relationship between standards
and the global environment. The 2009 U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day
will focused on Standards for Environmental Stewardship, recognizing the
critical role that standards and conformity assessment programs play in
environmental protection and preservation, from sustainable products and
buildings to greenhouse gas reduction and energy conservation.
