The workshop will focus on issues related to sustainability and environmental performance standards for products. Anticipated discussion topics include:

• the review and establishment of guiding principles for developing sustainability/environmental performance product standards;

• identification of existing standards and draft standards under development that are characterized as sustainability/environmental performance product standards (both in the U.S. and abroad); and

• identification of gaps and needs for additional sustainability/environmental performance product standards.

The workshop will provide a neutral venue where all interested stakeholders can engage in discussions that will support and facilitate the timely development, promulgation, and use of voluntary consensus standards to address sustainable products.

The two-day event will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Arlington, Virginia. Additional information and online registration will be available soon on ANSI’s events page. Registration for the workshop is complimentary, but due to space limitations, attendance may be limited.
