Citation Technologies and ANSI Partner to Bring Full Collection of ISO Standards to Market on Robust citation® Web-based Platform

New York  July 23, 2009

Citation Technologies Inc. and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) today announced a product and services agreement to deliver documents from the globally recognized collection of ISO standards via the citation® Web-based platform.

ANSI is coordinator of the U.S. standards and conformity assessment system and is the official U.S. representative to ISO, the International Organization for Standardization.

From well-known and broadly implemented collections such as ISO 9000 for quality management systems and ISO 14000 for environmental management systems to specific, individual guidance documents that support a broad range of industries, ISO standards assure safety, interoperability, and quality of life for consumers and organizations worldwide.

“We are pleased to partner with ANSI to deliver the full collection of ISO standards on the citation® platform,” said Dean Brewer, CEO of Citation Technologies Inc. “Through this partnership, standards users gain access to ISO documents on a best-in-class content presentation and workflow productivity platform.”

“ANSI, ISO, and standards developing bodies across a broad spectrum of industries are always looking for ways to make it easier for the users of standards to access, use, and monitor the information they need,” explained George Gulla, ANSI vice president, publications. “We look forward to collaborating closely with Citation Technologies and the users of this product to build a positive user experience.”

Through the ANSI-Citation partnership, 17,765 International Standards developed by more than 3,000 ISO technical bodies will be made available on the citation® platform, arming subscribers with powerful search tools and collaboration, notification, and change-management functionality.

Using a turn-key Web portal platform, subscribers can concurrently search standards, test methods, and specifications, as well as related regulations, for keywords and phrases. They can also annotate, incorporate, or connect the appropriate sections of standards, specifications, and regulations to relevant company policy and procedure documents.

“Real-time annotation and collaboration tools allow subscribers to integrate globally recognized ISO standards with in-house data and information, creating a unique and completely customized resource for the subscriber’s organization,” continued Brewer.
