Digital Legacies: ANSI Seeks Comments on Newly Proposed ISO Standard and Project Committee

What happens to a person’s digital accounts after their death? According to a proposal submitted by Standards Australia, a standard would provide guidance on this issue, as well as clarity on consumers’ rights in relation to their digital media. As the U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI encourages relevant stakeholders to respond by March 29, 2023.

President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology Creates Cyber-Physical Resilience Working Group, Seeks Feedback

The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology seeks feedback to support its newly created cyber-physical resilience working group. Among other requests, the group is requesting recommendations on methodologies and standards to encourage resilient system design and adoption.

Connect Your Classroom to a Standards Expert!

Do you have insight to share on the ever-evolving standards profession? A new initiative from the ANSI Committee on Education connects faculty and scholars around the country with standards experts in the field. The program is open to standards professionals looking to share information and professors/instructors at any U.S. post-secondary educational institution.

Standards Alliance Phase 2 Launches Spring Standards Training Initiatives in the African Continent

This spring marks the launch of Standards Alliance Phase 2 (SA2) initiatives that offer training related to standards and good regulatory practices, and an ongoing project that supports medical devices and the response to COVID-19. SA2 is a public-private partnership between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and ANSI.
