ANSI Announces 2023 Student Paper Competition Theme: Standards Supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 

Now in its thirteenth year, ANSI’s student paper competition is part of a long-term effort to spread awareness among postsecondary students of the strategic significance of standards and conformance. The 2023 theme is "Standards Supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals."

Learn how you can get involved by registering for the September 22 informational webinar. The roadmap revision will consider previously identified gaps and priorities, progress to address the recommendations, and any potentially overlooked issues.  

Your Feedback Sought: Discovery Report on "Future Direction of ISO Management Systems Standards"

As the U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI seeks feedback on a new discovery report, “Future Direction of ISO Management Systems Standards,” from relevant stakeholders by October 7.  

Management System for UN Sustainable Development Goals: ANSI Seeks Comments on Proposed New ISO Standard

ANSI seeks stakeholder comments by October 28 on a new ISO management system standard proposal related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The intended outcome of an SDG management system, the proposal asserts, is to enhance an organization’s performance, fulfill compliance obligations, achieve selected SDG objectives, increase success, and create trust and confidence to relevant existing and future stakeholders. 

Standards Alliance Phase II Holds Third Event to Support Bioethanol Standardization in Sub-Saharan Africa

The event served to raise awareness of relevant international bioethanol standards and practical implementation considerations, with a goal of helping to enable the emerging bioethanol market in sub-Saharan Africa.  

Workcred Welcomes Community College of Aurora, Delta College, Kirkwood Community College, and Moraine Valley Community College to C+D Pathways Project

In support of learner persistence, employment, and competitive wages, Workcred and partners will develop Certification+Degree (C+D) pathways in information technology and health sciences.
