4Notice
4.1In response to feedback received from ANSI accredited GHG V/VBs and the ANSI GHG Validation and Verification Accreditation Committee (GVAC), ANSI has revised two procedures. GHG-PR-706, scoping procedure for the accreditation of validation activities (GHG-PR-706) and GHG-PR-719, Conditions for Granting, Maintaining, Extending, Reducing, Suspending, and Withdrawing Accreditation.
4.2Clause 6.2 of GHG-PR-706 has been amended to streamline the process by which V/VBs can become accredited for project validation activities.
4.3Clause 7.3.1 of GHG-PR-706 has been amended to make the following changes to the number of minimum and maximum number of witness assessments required for accreditation for all ANSI organization-level groups:
4.3.1Clause d has been amended to include a provision to waive a witness assessment for organizational-level 10 in cases where the V/VB undergoes a successful witness assessment or currently holds accreditation for ANSI project-level group 3. In such cases, the V/VB must undergo successful witness assessment or currently hold accreditation for organization-level verification.
4.3.2Clause f has been amended to reflect the minimum requirements for witness assessment in order for a V/VB to be considered for accreditation in all organization-level groups. The minimum number required is 2 considering that 1 level 3 witness assessment will satisfy level 2 and level 1 (with supporting evidence of competence for all sectors). A witness assessment for group 10 can be waived as described above. A witness assessment for group 4 - electric power transactions is required but may be carried out remotely upon approval by ANSI as specified in the revised clauses of section 5.1 of GHG-PR-719.
4.4Clause 8 of GHG-PR-706 has been amended to provide detail on the factors considered by ANSI in the selection of witness assessments.
