ANSI Finance Committee

Overview

The Finance Committee (FinCo) maintains a continuing review of the financial affairs of ANSI and makes appropriate recommendations to the Board of Directors or to the Executive Committee. The Finance Committee typically meets four times per year, usually in the Washington, DC, area.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Finance Committee include:

  • Reviewing and providing a recommendation to the Board for the annual budget and the business plan proposed by the ANSI president
  • Authorizing investment policy
  • Authorizing acceptable accounting and disbursement procedures for all funds under the jurisdiction of ANSI

Guidance for the Financial Committee is included in Section 3.18 of the ANSI Constitution and By-Laws.

The FinCo is comprised of members of the ANSI Board of Directors who have been appointed by the Chair of the Board and approved by the Board.
