ANSI Legal Issues Forum Overview

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Legal Issues Forum is held on an annual basis as part of World Standards Week. The event will focus on the potential claims that can be brought against standards developers and conformity assessment bodies, including tort liability, antitrust, and more. Our expert panelists will not only talk about the potential claims to watch out for, they will also share best practices and case studies covering significant, real-life legal action related to standards and conformance activities. For example, our keynote address will focus on a suit brought against Primus Labs in connection with its third-party audit of Jensen Farms, the source of a 2011 outbreak of listeria.

ANSI members and interested stakeholders including those from government, industry, business, consumer groups, and academia are encouraged to attend and share their perspectives, insights, and expertise.
