Honeywell and Partners Kick Off Vaccinations in a North Carolina Football Stadium

To speed up vaccination efforts in North Carolina, Honeywell, in a public-private partnership effort with Atrium Health, Tepper Sports & Entertainment, and the State of North Carolina, with support by Governor Roy Cooper, helped transform a football stadium to a medical site.

Similar to showing a game day ticket on their phones, patients pulled up a QR code on an app built by Honeywell to confirm their appointment on site. The Bank of America stadium became a pharmacy as part of the process, as documented in Honeywell's recent article.

“Honeywell is world renowned for managing highly complex logistics, information technology and operational issues, and we’re looking forward to helping streamline the vaccination process to deliver as many vaccinations as efficiently as possible to our community,” said Darius Adamczyk, chairman and chief executive officer of Honeywell.

“Getting vaccines in people’s arms as quickly and equitably as possible is a top priority for North Carolina,” said Gov. Cooper in an earlier announcement of the partnership. “Partnerships with businesses, health providers and government like this can help get it done.”
