Personnel Certification Accreditation Workshop:
This two-day workshop is designed to introduce interested stakeholders to the international standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024, General requirements for bodies operating certification schemes for persons. Discussions focus on building an understanding of the standard's requirements, its benefits, and why it has become the benchmark for personnel certification.
Dates for this workshop are: February 4-5, April 15-16, June 10-11, August 12-13, October 7-8, and December 2-3. The sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and take place at ANSI's Washington DC headquarters. Registration is required, and the course is recommended for representatives of corporations, organizations, government agencies, and others who either operate personnel certification programs or who wish to learn more about the ANSI accreditation process.
Certificate Issuers' Accreditation Workshop:
This two-day workshop will introduce the American National Standard ASTM E2659-09, Standard Practice for Certificate Programs, and the Institute's Certificate Accreditation Program (ANSI-CAP). Attendees will learn about the requirements for developing a quality education/training course that has an assessment at the end to determine if the learning outcomes have been achieved. The workshop covers such areas as: terminology, significance and use of the standard, requirements for certificate issuers, and certificate program and certificate issuance and use.
Dates for this workshop are: February 11-12, April 29-30, July 8-9, and October 14-15. The sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and take place at ANSI's Washington DC headquarters. Registration is required, and the course is recommended for any corporations, organizations, government agencies, and others that are issuing certificates based on training or education courses, and stakeholders such as HR directors who are accepting individuals with certificates within their organizations.
