Candidates will be reviewed by the 2014 Board Nominating Committee, and nominations by that Committee will subsequently be balloted for election by the ANSI membership. Nominations require a biographical statement and a letter of corporate support (note: letter of corporate support is not required for corporate officers or for individual and government members).
The Institute will only accept one nomination form per ANSI member organization, so each member organization is encouraged to coordinate proposed nominations internally before submitting the appropriate form to ANSI. As a general rule, only individuals nominated by full ANSI members are allowed to serve on the Board of Directors; however, exceptions may be granted in special circumstances by the Board or the ANSI Executive Committee.
As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure balance and diversity within its membership, ANSI is currently seeking Board members who will enhance ANSI member networks and relationships. In order to ease the nomination process, ANSI has developed guidelines providing information about the sectors that are currently underrepresented on ANSI's Board of Directors. These guidelines, along with nomination forms, general information, and ANSI's official code of ethics, can be accessed by ANSI members in the ANSI Online Library.
All nomination forms should be submitted to Tricia Power, ANSI manager of corporate governance and legal affairs, by email at tpower@ansi.org or by mail to
