As part of its ongoing commitment to support emerging professionals in the standardization community, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is offering expanded resources on its Standardslearn.org and StandardsBoostBusiness.org websites designed to engage and educate the workforce and next generation of leaders. ANSI encourages all students, emerging professionals, and educators to visit both websites to access free, user-friendly resources related to standards and conformity assessment.
The StandardsLearn portal offers e-learning opportunities for all age groups, including a wide array of free courses and case studies and links to ANSI Education and Training Services for the standardization community, among other valuable information. A new update on the site includes a page dedicated to Young Emerging Professionals and Students (YES), with an overview of how to get more involved with standards and conformance. Graduates with a strong understanding of standards are an asset to employers because companies rely on standards and conformance to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and boost market access for their products and services.
The portal also includes free materials intended to engage, inspire, and educate the youngest scholars, from K through 12, about the importance of standardization and conformity assessment. Helpful resources for educators include downloadable infographic posters that detail where standards influence various settings-from classrooms to smart cities and space centers.
Through a collaborative partnership effort with 31 partners from across the standardization community, ANSI also hosts the Standards Boost Business (SBB) site, which was recently updated to include a "YES" community page. The SBB YES page features easy-to-digest information on the value of standardization, and provides guidance for those interested in getting involved.
