Keith Williams, president and chief executive officer, UL, will be the keynote speaker. Attendees will hear from expert panelists and moderators representing government, associations, academia, standards boards, and leading organizations and companies on a number of topics, with headline session topics to include:
Educational courses will be offered in conjunction with the conference. On Monday, August 8, attendees can register for "Fundamentals of Standards and Conformity Assessment: Basic Knowledge and Tools for Today's Professional," which is intended for new standards professionals and anyone working with or interested in standards and conformity assessment, including corporate managers engineers, government, and public administration staff, standards developing organization staff and volunteers, consumers, faculty, and students.
The second course, "Industry Update on Intellectual Property Issues—Birds Eye View and Interactive Workshop," on Thursday, August 11, will cover topics related to intellectual property, copyright, standards essential patents, and more. Standards professionals interested in learning and conversing on the topic of intellectual property as it relates to standards and standards development are encouraged to attend.
