The U.S. National Committee (USNC) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), a fully integrated committee of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that John Morelli, products division president, Insulated Wire Inc. has been appointed as secretary of IEC Subcommittee (SC) 46F, a subcommittee of IEC Technical Committee 46.
"On behalf of the United States, the USNC is proud to take on this important leadership role in international standardization," said Tony Zertuche, USNC General Secretary. "We are excited to have appointed Mr. Morelli to this key position."
IEC/SC46F is responsible for RF and Microwave Connectors and Components International Standardization. It is a subcommittee of TC 46, responsible for the establishment of standards and terminology related to cables, wires, waveguides, RF connectors, RF and microwave passive components and accessories.
Mr. Morelli, who is sponsored by Insulated Wire, Inc., brings significant RF/Microwave connector and component experience to the position. Mr. Morelli had been the chief technical advisor for the U.S. National Committee's Technical Advisory Group to IEC/SC46F.
