The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is currently calling for proposals for the final U.S.-India Standards and Conformance Cooperation Program (SCCP) Phase II workshop in early 2021 that will address electric vehicles (EV). ANSI welcomes feedback and workshop proposals covering EV standards and conformity assessment issues that the event can address through relationship-building and knowledge sharing of best practices with Indian counterparts. Submit feedback by December 11, 2020.
The SCCP II program is sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency and coordinated by ANSI and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The SCCP II focuses on sectors including water and sanitation, clean energy, and smart and sustainable cities. The workshops foster technical exchange to decrease trade barriers, assist India with its sustainable development goals, and facilitate trade between the U.S. and India. ANSI works jointly with private sector partners, which awards interested organizations the opportunity to meet directly with key Indian regulators, participate in the technical exchange, and promote their brand and exports.
Due to coronavirus travel and meeting restrictions, ANSI will plan to hold the U.S.-India SCCP II workshop virtually.
Interested private sector organizations can complete the commercial benefit questionnaire (CBQ). The CBQ requests information on the company’s relevance to EV, their standards issues and priorities, the status of their current level of work in India, and what they hope to achieve through the workshop. The workshop proposal form and other information can be found on the program website.
Completed CBQs and any questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
