People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.

CSA Group, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced two leadership changes in their standards division as part of a new strategic direction for the group's standards activities.

Mary Cianchetti has been appointed president of standards for CSA Group. She has demonstrated leadership in other roles at CSA, including her most recent position as a director with responsibility for membership and the health and safety standards programs. She was also the program manager of the energy and utilities standards program.

Karim Nazarali is the new vice president of electrical and gas products standards. Previously the director of the electrical standards program, Mr. Nazarali is assuming this new role to coordinate standards development and TIC activity. He will oversee the identification and fulfillment of standards and certification gaps, as well as CSA Group TIC experts' participation in the standards development process.

The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has announced that Lisa Sattler will join its Canadian office as manager of regulatory affairs. She will oversee AHAM Canada's policy and advocacy work as it relates to consumer product safety, product standards, environment, and energy efficiency.

Ms. Sattler has over a decade of experience in issue analysis, policy development, and association management. Prior to joining AHAM, she was a senior policy advisor for the Canadian Payments Association. Ms. Sattler spent over 12 years at the organization, and also held positions as policy and research analyst and legal officer.
