People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.
The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Wes Johnston as is its new CEO.
Mr. Johnston has over 25 years of experience in the technology and telecom business, with board and senior executive positions at both global technology firms and start-ups. Prior to joining TIA, he was the managing director for technology, media, and telecommunications at global private equity firm The Gores Group. During this time, he was also a board director with Alpheus Telecommunications, Elo Touch Systems, Imagine Communications, and the Tweddle Group. Previously, he was with Dimension Data as executive vice president and chief operating officer, leading sales, marketing, solutions, and service delivery in North and South America.
"Wes has a tremendous track record of driving change, being customer-focused, and making an impact in the tech and telecom industries," said David Heard, chairman of TIA's board of directors. "He's a perfect fit for TIA's mission to help companies navigate through technology transformation, shifting policy environments and a dynamic innovation environment, which are causing major changes to our member companies' business models and supply chains."
CSA Group, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has announced that Rob Dieter is its new vice president, healthcare.
Previously, Mr. Dieter was vice president, sales for healthcare solutions at Boston Scientific. In this role, he oversaw program development and solution sales for a $2.2B corporate account group. He has held senior U.S. and global positions accountable for sales, global marketing, program development, and global pricing for Boston Scientific and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Dieter is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, serving on their Executive Strategies Task Force. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
