The U.S. Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) will host a workshop related to conformity assessment guidance and the OMB Circular A119 on February 28, 2017, in Gaithersburg, MD. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages stakeholders to attend and sign up in advance via NIST's registration page.
NIST is updating its conformity assessment guidance to reflect growth and evolution in the conformity assessment community as well as the recently revised OMB Circular A119 [see related ANSI coverage on the update].
Attendees are expected to review the concept draft of the ABC's of Conformity Assessment, Revised, which will be released on February 14, and share their feedback in facilitated small group sessions.
Workshop participation is limited to two attendees per organization. To ensure successful facilitated outcomes, attendees should be active participants or stakeholders in conformity assessment programs or otherwise engaged in relevant conformity assessment activities.
This workshop does not offer introductory or tutorial information related to conformity assessment.
