How SDOs Use Recently Released CIS Controls Version 6.0

The American National Standards Institute's(ANSI's) 2016Company Member Forum (CMF) online discussion on June 14, 2016, at 2:00-3:00p.m. ET is set to highlight the Center for Internet Security's Critical Security Controls for Effective Cyber Defense (CIS CONTROLS), a free set of internationally recognized measures and recommendations developed, refined, and validated by leading international IT security experts to stop cybersecurity attacks. The session will underscore how standards developing organizations and regulators use CIS CONTROLS.

Last year, CIS, a not-for-profit organization working to enhance cybersecurity readiness and response among private and public sectors, released CIS CONTROLS Version 6.0, which incorporates recommendations from the cybersecurity community reflecting the latest technologies and threats. The document provides a framework to help organizations create a privacy impact assessment (PIA).

The CMF session will feature speaker Tony Sager, senior vice president and chief evangelist at CIS, who will highlight how the latest insights impact stakeholders. To sign up for the CMF meeting, visit the registration page.
