Reminder: ANSI to Host Standards and the Global Supply Chain Event on Capitol Hill March 12

3/04/2015
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will host Standards and the Global Supply Chain on March 12, 2015, from 11:30-2 pm EST in the Cannon House Office Building's Caucus Room in Washington, D.C. The event will feature a dialogue with U.S. leaders on global supply chain initiatives and the significant role of voluntary standards and conformance in creating solutions that cross borders.

As global market growth transforms the supply chain, the utilization of international standards helps businesses develop credibility amid a multitude of global business challenges— including safety and security. The March 12 event will explore broad-interest topics that impact business operations across the globe, including:

  • Worker safety and the new international standard ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements

  • Anti-bribery initiative ISO/CD 37001, Anti-bribery management systems

  • Global food safety efforts, including the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) Food Safety Modernization Act

  • Global distribution of clean and efficient cook stoves.

The event is open to Congressional staff members, representatives, and other interested stakeholders. For more detailed information on the event, see the flyer here. To RSVP, please contact Scott Cooper, ANSI vice president of government relations, at [email protected]
