People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced two additions to their staff.

Deighton Liverpool has been named SCTE's vice president of information technology, working out of the organization's Exton, PA headquarters. Mr. Liverpool joins SCTE from the Association of Village Council Presidents in Alaska, where he was CIO. He has also served as the CTO and director of information technology for the American Association for Cancer Research (ACCR). At ACCR, Mr. Liverpool led the organization's strategic direction and oversaw the total rebuild of its infrastructure.

Niem Dang is SCTE's new director of network and technical operations. She will be based primarily in Louisville, CO as an SCTE visiting engineer to CableLabs. Ms. Dang brings with her 10 years of experience with Comcast and Time Warner Cable, where she provided video architecture leadership for many projects. She also served as the senior engineer at GuideWorks, where she led the integration of interactive devices into Comcast networks.

"Hiring Deighton Liverpool and Niem Dang indicates our commitment to the transformation of SCTE and ISBE into world-class engineering resources for the global cable telecommunications industry," said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE and ISBE. "By bringing in world-class talent from within and beyond the industry, we're driving results that will benefit cable, its workforce, and the customers the industry serves."

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has named Diana Hanson its new regulatory affairs manager.

Ms. Hanson was a founding member of the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA), where she gained code-related knowledge presenting at International Code Council (ICC) hearings. Additionally, she has experience in the legal field as a paralegal and technical writer.

"We are very fortunate to have Diana join AAMA in the role of regulatory affairs manager," says AAMA president and CEO Rich Walker. "She will be a valuable asset of the association and our members, bringing with her a wealth of code-related knowledge, technical writing and editing, and association experience. Her legal background will also serve us well in the Regulatory Affairs and Energy Advocate arenas, and we are pleased to welcome her to AAMA."
