1/18/2013

Did You Know? offers a quick look at the broad scope of activities underway within the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Federation, highlighting the people and initiatives making waves in standardization.

UL to Double Testing Capacity with Move to New Facility ANSI member and audited designator Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has announced that it will bolster its quality and safety assurance testing capabilities by moving its consumer products testing laboratory to a larger facility in Enfield, Connecticut. The new facility - which includes the advanced equipment and instrumentation needed to test toys, electrical equipment, textiles, and apparel, among other items - will more than double the laboratory's capacity, allowing UL to effectively address growing demand for consumer products testing in the U.S.
