Register for ANSI-Nanotechnology Standards Panel Meeting: ""Relationship between Nanotechnology Standards and Regulation""

8/09/2019

Meeting will be held October 16, 2019 in Washington, DC

The American National Standards Institute's (ANSI) Nanotechnology Standards Panel (ANSI-NSP) will host a meeting focusing on the relationship between nanotechnology standards and regulations at the 20 F Street Conference Center in Washington DC, on October 16, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The meeting is intended to promote greater understanding of the relationship between voluntary consensus standards and regulations, and to identify which standards specific to nanotechnology have been complementary to, utilized by, or act as replacements to regulation in the U.S. and other parts of the world. Registration is open to all interested participants. There is no fee to attend, but registration is mandatory.

Established by ANSI in August 2004, ANSI-NSP provides the framework within which stakeholders can work cooperatively to promote, accelerate, and coordinate the timely development of voluntary consensus standards that are intended to meet identified needs related to nanotechnology research, development, and commercialization. Shaun Clancy, Ph.D. and Ajit Jillavenkatesa, Ph.D. of NIST are the private- and public-sector co-chairs of the panel.

View the ANSI-NSP Document Library for documents relating to the work of the panel.
