People on the Move

5/29/2020

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Dr. (Tynetta) Ty Kelley as its new director of accreditation. Dr. Kelley assumed the position on March 23.

Dr. Kelley has nearly 20 years of experience as a post-secondary instructor of English and communications in traditional and online classrooms. She has worked with the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Education, as well as in classrooms in the U.S., China, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Kelley is a certified corporate trainer and facilitator in the Harvard ManageMentor curriculum, and has also worked in television news.

"We are thrilled to have Dr. Kelley as a part of the IACET team," said Casandra Blassingame, IACET CEO. "Her education, background, and experiences are just what we need to advance the organization and execute the new strategic plan which includes strengthening our position as a standards-developing organization, engagement, and expanding IACETs global footprint."

The International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (IWSH) Foundation, the charitable arm of ANSI member and audited designator IAPMO, has announced that San Kearney is its new managing director. In this role, he will provide additional strategic and organizational leadership as the Foundation expands its impact in the international water, sanitation, and hygiene sector.

Mr. Kearney joined The IAPMO Group in 2015, directing projects launched in India, South Africa, Indonesia, and the U.S. He oversaw development of the IWSH Foundation's flagship initiative, the international Community Plumbing Challenge (CPC) program. Prior to joining IAPMO, Mr. Kearney worked for the WorldSkills Foundation as a workshop manager, secretariat, and project developer managing projects in countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

"San has a significant amount of experience spearheading philanthropic efforts to bring dignity, health, and optimism to those individuals who need it most through community-based efforts that bring forward safe water and proper sanitation," said IAPMO COO Dave Viola. "With his leadership skills, knowledge, empathy, and unique ability to leverage partnerships, I'm confident that Sean will be successful in his new position."
