Ms. Cain joined the House Science and Technology Committee in November 2008. Before becoming staff director of the Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation in May 2010, she served as a counsel to the Full Committee, where she handled parliamentary, procedural, and jurisdictional matters and participated in the development and implementation of legislative strategy.
Prior to her work with the Committee, Ms. Cain worked as legislative director to Representative Brian Baird (D-WA), overseeing his legislative agenda, and as Ways and Means counsel to Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX). She holds a juris doctorate and a master of arts degree in public affairs from the University of Texas, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Washington.
The Caucus will be held Friday, September 10, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club (529 14th Street, NW, Zenger Room) in Washington, DC. The period from 11:45 to 12:15 will be for ANSI members only; after 12:15 all stakeholders are welcome. RSVPs are requested by Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
