The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), along with its global arm the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), have named Matt Aden vice president, sales and sales operations.
Mr. Aden will lead a team for SCTE/ISBE to build value for corporate partners and individual members by fostering business relationships to leverage the organization's resources, including industry standards development, membership activities, learning and development, and annual events. He will also lead efforts to improve the quality of SCTE/ISBE's customer experience.
Prior to joining SCTE/ISBE, Mr. Aden spent 21 years with General Instrument and Motorola, ultimately as senior vice president and general manager, sales and customer operations. He was also the senior vice president of worldwide sales for Casa Systems and Terayon Communications, and vice president of sales for Harmonic and Concurrent.

The Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), an ANSI member, has announced that Erin Erickson is its new executive director. Ms. Erickson will oversee the organization's strategic growth, and represent the society when collaborating with professional organizations and affiliated third parties.
Ms. Erickson has held management roles at SMRP since 2014, serving as associate director, managing member services, and working with other programs and chapters of the organization. Previously, she has been the executive director of several professional organizations, including the National Society for Professional Engineers.
"Erin's time with SMRP has been characterized by positive growth and a meaningful impact within the society and the industry," said Bob Kazar, SMRP chair. "As the associate director, she was instrumental in maintaining and growing our membership, along with ensuring our society offers industry-leading educational resources."
