People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

American National Standards Institute (ANSI) member INDA - Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry recently hired Morris T. Collins Jr. as its director of member relations. Mr. Collins will be the first person to hold this newly created position and will support INDA's efforts to bolster its membership.

Prior to joining INDA, Mr. Collins was the president of RKW SE's RKW US Inc. subsidiary, which provides film and nonwoven technology solutions for the medical, agricultural, hygiene, and construction sectors. He also served as a sales manager for the BP Chemicals Plastic Fabrication Group's PFG US Inc. subsidiary, and as a research engineer for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers Company, among other positions. Mr. Collins received a bachelor of textile engineering degree from Alabama's Auburn University.

INDA represents hundreds of organizations and companies in the global nonwoven and engineered fabrics industries, providing their members with networking opportunities, educational programs, test methods, advocacy on relevant issues, and other essential support.


ANSI member the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) hired Leo McCloskey as its new senior vice president for technical programs. Mr. McCloskey oversees the society's contract work with government, industry, and research partners.

Mr. McCloskey previously served as the vice president, marketing, for Airbiquity, a software and services provider to the automotive manufacturing industry, and as the vice president of marketing for tax preparation industry software and services provider Intellitax, among many other positions. He received his bachelor of arts degree in Russian language from Pennsylvania's Dickinson College.

ITS America carries out work to advance the research, development, and implementation of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), with the larger goal of bettering the United States' surface transportation network.
