ANSI Board of Directors Names Volunteer Leaders for 2018

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Board of Directors has announced its new members and officers for the term beginning January 1, 2018.

GP Russ Chaney, chief executive officer, IAPMO, was appointed to a first term as chair of the ANSI Board.

Kevan Lawlor, NSF International, will assume the role of immediate past chair.

Supporting the chair will be the following vice chairs: Dr. Mary McKiel, American Academy of Forensic Sciences; David Miller, American Petroleum Institute; Phil Piqueira, UL; and Paris Stavrianidis, FM Approvals.

The following individuals have been elected to the Board as directors-at-large for terms beginning January 1, 2018, and concluding at year-end 2020:

  • Christian Dubay, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
  • Patricia Edwards, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
  • Gordon Gillerman,National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
  • Edward Manns,NACE International
  • Scott McGrath, OASIS
  • Rae McQuade, North American Energy Standards Board
  • Paul Moliski, Intertek
  • Elise Owen, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • Alain Turenne, Walgreen Company
  • David Weinstein, CSA Group
  • Timothy West, Deere & Company

In addition, the Board of Directors Nominating Committee has filled the vacant director-at-large position:

  • Robert Jensen, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)

The following Board members will serve as ANSI Member Forum chairs beginning in 2018: Linda Golodner (Consumer Interest Forum), James Matthews (Company Member Forum), Timothy A. Klein (Government Member Forum),and Claire Ramspeck (Organizational Member Forum).

Individuals leaving the Board at the end of 2017 include:
