The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), an organizational member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced the appointment of Darrin Drollinger as executive director. He will serve as ASABE's executive officer as well as secretary to the Society and to the ASABE Foundation.

Mr. Drollinger is a 21-year member of ASABE with more than 20 years of experience in association management. He most recently served as vice president of statistics, technical, and safety services at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

Mr. Drollinger's interest in agricultural and biological engineering began in his family's Ohio greenhouse business and continued at The Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering. He also holds an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.

ASABE is a professional and technical organization dedicated to the advancement of engineering applicable to agricultural, food, and biological systems. Members are consultants, managers, and others who have the training and experience to understand the interrelationships between technology and living systems.


ANSI organizational member and accredited standards developer NACE International - the Corrosion Society recently named Robert H. Chalker as the organization's new executive director, effective August 4.

Mr. Chalker brings over 15 years of executive leadership experience to NACE, most recently as managing director at ASQ Global. Prior to that, he served as director of global development and strategic planning at SAE International for five years. From 1981 to 2003 Mr. Chalker worked for Delphi Corporation in a variety of positions including sales director and global customer manager.

Mr. Chalker earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the University of Cincinnati and his MBA at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

NACE International, originally known as "The National Association of Corrosion Engineers," has more than 60 years of experience in developing corrosion prevention and control standards. NACE International is involved in every industry and area of corrosion prevention and control, from chemical processing and water systems, to transportation and infrastructure protection.
