People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) member the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) recently announced the hiring of Jonathan Landers as its vice president for industry development. In this new position, Mr. Landers will oversee DTA's ongoing efforts to establish new programs for its members and to bolster leadership training and workforce development in the dental industry.
Prior to joining DTA, Mr. Landers served as the executive director of the National Museum of Dentistry in Maryland, where he oversaw the museum's strategic planning, operations, and relations with government, industry, and community bodies. He also worked as the managing principal at Economics Research Associates, and as the vice president of marketing and new business development for the National Geographic Society, among other positions. Mr. Landers received his bachelor of arts degree in government from Maine's Bowdoin College and his MBA in marketing management from New York's Columbia University.
The DTA is an association of companies that provide dental equipment, supplies, materials, and services to dentists and other oral care professionals. The association works to assist the dental industry in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico through a variety of programs, including mentorships and professional development.
ANSI member The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) has named Christopher Jahn as its president, succeeding outgoing TFI president Ford West, who is retiring after 34 years with the institute. Mr. Jahn will provide leadership and oversight of TFI's activities in connection with the fertilizer industry and related fields.
Mr. Jahn was previously the president of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD), where he was responsible for overseeing efforts to bolster the association's outreach to relevant legislative and regulatory bodies. Before joining NACD, Mr. Jahn worked as the president of the Contract Services Association and as the chief of staff to Senator Craig Thomas of Wyoming. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Columbia University and earned his MBA at the University of Maryland.
TFI is an organization representing the U.S. fertilizer industry, including producers, wholesalers, trading companies, and more. The institute works to assist its members on fertilizer-related education, technical issues, and to provide legislative input on subjects related to the fertilizer industry.
