DOC Seeks Input on U.S.-EU Trade Cooperation

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) would like to inform all stakeholders that the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), on behalf of the Obama Administration, is seeking assistance in identifying opportunities for cooperation in trade between the United States and the European Union.

The goal is to reduce or eliminate unnecessary divergences in regulatory measures that may impede trade in goods in the transatlantic marketplace, and to identify existing or emerging sectors that may benefit from transatlantic regulatory cooperation.

According to the Federal Register notice issued May 3, the DOC is seeking public input to help identify these regulatory divergences so that the U.S. government can work cooperatively with the EU to address them. Access the Federal Register notice here.
