Personal Care Products Council Releases Video on Safe Sun Practices
ANSI organizational member the Personal Care Products Council has released a video examining common myths related to sunscreen usage and laying out the benefits associated with the daily use of sunscreen in the fight against skin cancer, the world's leading preventable cancer. The video, which includes appearances by Dr. Elizabeth Hale, the vice president of the Skin Cancer Foundation, and other leading dermatologists, is the second in the council's Skin Smart video series.

In the new video, "Anti-aging and Skin Cancer Prevention," common concerns about the safety of ingredients in sunscreen are addressed and viewers are given insight into the important role played by sunscreen in reducing premature aging brought on by harmful UV rays.

ANSI Applies for TAG Accreditation on Facilities Management
ANSI, with technical and financial support from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), has submitted an application for accreditation for a proposed U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 267, Facilities Management, and a request for approval as TAG Administrator. The proposed TAG will operate using the Model Operating Procedures for U.S. Technical Advisory Groups to ANSI for ISO Activities as contained in Annex A of the ANSI International Procedures.

Nuclear Energy Institute Launches Online Congressional Resource Guide
ANSI organizational member the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) has recently released a searchable online platform, known as the Congressional Resource Guide, that provides members of Congress, their staffs, related stakeholders and other interested groups with no-cost access to information related to important nuclear energy issues. The guide includes statistical data about nuclear energy and the nuclear industry, information on operational safety and security issues at nuclear power plants, among other technical topics. The resource also includes nuclear energy industry policy positions that point to the important role by played by nuclear energy in bolstering the wider U.S. economy.

PCI Security Standards Council Publishes E-Commerce Security Supplement
ANSI organizational member the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has issued a free guide to businesses selling goods and services online intended to help them maintain the security of customer payment data and avoid common online commerce security pratfalls. The document, known as the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) E-commerce Guidelines Information Supplement, is intended to help merchants and other relevant stakeholders make effective use of currently existing security options and to fully consider the issues involved in securing customer data.

The supplement includes a list of recommended industry resources for online commerce security efforts, advice for safeguarding online commerce shopping cart software, and guidelines on how to determine which security responsibilities lie with merchants and online payment processors, respectively, among other information. The document was produced by PCI SSC's E-commerce Security Special Interest Group (SIG).
