NSF International, a member and audited designator of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed two new experts to its UK Food Safety Division.

Rob Chester is the new managing director of food safety, NSF Food Safety Division, UK Operations. In this position, Mr. Chester will oversee operations and join the senior management team for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region of the NSF Food Safety Division. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Chester was the senior director for responsible sourcing for Walmart, US in Leeds, UK. There, he developed and led strategies for responsible sourcing with a focus on reputation management.

Jackie Healing has been appointed director of consulting and technical services, NSF Food Safety Division, UK Operations. She will lead a team of consultants in the UK to provide supply chain, risk and crisis management consulting, and technical services to food companies seeking to protect and enhance their brands. Previously, Ms. Healing was with Coles Supermarkets in Australia, where she developed a technical and responsible sourcing program that brought quality, sustainability, and animal welfare requirements to the company's global supplier network. The program also evaluated the sourcing practices of over 500 seafood operations, and helped the retailer to become a global leader in quality and sourcing practices.

"Our clients will benefit from Rob's leadership in the areas of compliance, risk management, responsible sourcing and trading law," said Tom Chestnut, senior vice president of NSF International's Global Food Safety Division. "They'll also benefit from the vast experience Jackie brings in leading transformative food safety and quality programs that help companies protect their brands and manage risks unique to their supply chains and businesses."

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, announced that its regional entity the SERC Reliability Corporation (SERC) has appointed Holly Hawkins as its general counsel.

In this role, Ms. Hawkins will lead SERC's legal team and provide counsel to the corporation's president and CEO. She is a member of the American Bar Association - Section on Environment, Energy and Resources, the Energy Bar Association, and the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment.

"We are thrilled to have someone of Holly's caliber and background joining SERC as our General Counsel," said SERC president and CEO Gary Taylor.
