December 16 Webinar Features ANSI Energy Efficiency Standardization Coordination Collaborative

12/04/2014

On December 16, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will host a free informational webinar from 2-3:30 pm Eastern Standard Time on the work of the ANSI Energy Efficiency Standardization Coordination Collaborative (EESCC). Jana Zabinski, program manager, ANSI EESCC, will be the featured speaker.

A member-funded collaborative, the EESCC brings together experts from industry, federal agencies, standards and code developing organizations, energy and water efficiency-focused organizations, educational institutions, and other groups to shape the future of energy and water efficiency standardization. Earlier this year, the EESCC released its landmark document Standardization Roadmap: Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment containing 125 recommendations supporting energy, water, and cost savings in the built environment. Developed by over 160 experts from more than 50 member organizations and four federal agencies, the roadmap is available for free download online from www.ansi.org/eescc, along with the supplemental EESCC Inventory Database, an online source of information on relevant standards, codes, guidelines, and conformity assessment programs. Since the roadmap's release, the EESCC has begun a second phase, which centers on work to support action on the recommendations contained in the roadmap.

Following the EESCC presentation and discussion, webinar participants will have an opportunity to share updates on relevant activities that they are working on. To take part in the webinar, visit the webinar registration webpage.

The December webinar is being hosted by the ANSI Network on Smart and Sustainable Cities (ANSSC), a forum where public officials, experts in urban infrastructure planning and sustainable development, and standards professionals share information on relevant standardization activities.
