ANSI Manufacturer Member Roundtable Holds Year-End Celebrations in Beijing and Shanghai

12/26/2012

In 2012 the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Manufacturer Member Roundtable in China hosted a number of successful events attended by key Chinese officials, covering topics such as electric vehicle standardization and industry engagement in standardization. This month, members of the Roundtable welcomed officials and event participants at celebrations in Beijing and Shanghai to mark the conclusion of a very productive year. The two events gave ANSI members and Roundtable participants the opportunity to build on the strong relationships fostered by the earlier, issue-based activities.

The celebration in Beijing was attended by Ge Zhirong, special advisor to China's State Council, as well as Roundtable backers from the Chinese government, including staff members of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA). In addition, representatives of the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS), the China Association for Standardization (CAS), and the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) took part in the year-end celebrations after participating in other Roundtable activities earlier in the year.

These meetings provided important networking opportunities, allowing the Roundtable to build on the dialogue established through senior ANSI leadership meetings with Chinese officials, and cementing links between ANSI, its members and constituents, and Chinese government and industry.

ANSI would like to thank all of the Roundtable member companies for their support during this busy and successful year.
