SAE International, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Melinda Rombold its new chief human resources officer. In this position, Ms. Rombold will develop HR initiatives to support the organization and serve on its Executive Management Council.

Prior to joining SAE, Ms. Rombold worked for numerous global organizations, including the PTC Group, Ansaldo STS, Redzone Robotics, Delmonte Foods, and Tuscarora Inc. She is experienced in talent management, employee engagement, and talent acquisition.

"Melinda is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience managing and leading Human Resources," said David L. Schutt, chief executive officer of SAE International. "She is a global, strategic business partner who will add value to SAE International; we are pleased and excited to welcome her to our team."

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), an ANSI member, has announced that Al Cervero was promoted to the position of senior vice president, construction, mining, and utility.

Mr. Cervero has decades of experience in the construction equipment industry, and has held management level positions in sales, marketing, and product management. His focus is on the lifting and aggregates side of the business. He joined as its director of marketing and membership services in 1995, and became a vice president in 1996.

"This promotion recognizes the leadership Al continues to deliver to the Association and the scope and importance of his responsibilities leading our CE Sector, membership, annual conference, and education content departments and programs," said Dennis Slater, AEM president. "This record of success includes Al's most recent guidance, ideas, and mentoring of such important projects as the Tech Experience at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017."
