ANSI Releases New Video Highlighting the Value of Accreditation for Product Certification Bodies

8/07/2014
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is proud to announce the release of a new video highlighting the advantages ANSI accreditation can bring to product certification bodies. This video, part of a series showcasing the benefits of ANSI accreditation to different categories of stakeholders, features first-hand testimonials from representatives of prominent product certification bodies that have programs that have earned ANSI accreditation, and walks viewers through the many ways in which ANSI accreditation benefits organizations and the public at large.

This new "Value of ANSI Accreditation" video is available on ANSI's YouTube site.

Focusing on ANSI's Accreditation Program for Product Certification Bodies, the video allows ANSI clients to speak for themselves about how ANSI accreditation has strengthened their programs and provided business advantages. The benefits of ANSI accreditation discussed in the video include:

  • International recognition of ANSI's accreditation program in this area, via ANSI's status as a signatory to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF)'s Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA)
  • Cost savings and efficiency benefits that ANSI's wide range of accreditation programs offers to organizations seeking accreditation in a variety of sectors
  • Widespread recognition by governments, industry, and consumers of ANSI accreditation as a mark of impartiality and confidence, supported by ANSI's rigorous and thorough accreditation progress

ANSI would like to sincerely thank TUV SUD America and the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) organizations for their participation in this video.

ANSI administers a broad portfolio of third-party accreditation programs that assess the competencies of product certification bodies in a wide variety of sectors and subject areas. The ANSI accreditation process is in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC Guide 65, General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems (new ISO/IEC 17065). By adhering to a rigorous, internationally recognized process, ANSI ensures that its accreditation work conforms to the highest accreditation standard and represents the best practices in the field.
