Call for Nominations Deadline for Awards Extended to July 16

New York, Jun 29, 2004

ANSI has extended the deadline for its Call for Nominations for the 2004 Leadership and Service Awards to Friday, July 16, 2004 (5:00 pm Eastern). Any member of the U.S. voluntary consensus standards and conformity assessment community, with the exception of current officers of the Institute’s Board of Directors, is considered eligible for an award.

Presented in conjunction with the ANSI Annual Conference and the U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day, the awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to voluntary consensus standardization and conformity assessment programs and have consistently demonstrated a commitment to their industry, their nation, and the enhancement of the global standards system. Standards and conformity assessment professionals are encouraged to nominate their colleagues that work to develop real solutions to the needs of the voluntary standardization community.

Information detailing the nomination procedure, as well as information about the recipient selection process, is available by clicking here.

ANSI will honor the 2004 award recipients on Tuesday evening, October 12, at a banquet and ceremony to be held at the Marriott at Metro Center in downtown Washington, DC. For additional information on the awards ceremony and related World Standards Week 2004 events, please visit
