People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community. The American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA), an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) member and accredited standards developer, recently named Cheryl Caulfield as its new president. Ms. Caulfield will oversee all of ABMA's activities and provided ongoing strategic leadership for the organization.
Prior to joining ABMA, Ms. Caulfield worked as executive director at the National Association Executives' Forum and vice president/group leader for association practice at RCM&D. She has also served as senior vice president, government affairs, and vice president of Builder 20 Clubs for ANSI member and accredited standards developer the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the executive director for the Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association, among other positions. Ms. Caulfield received her bachelor of arts degree in political science from Virginia's Old Dominion University.
ABMA is a national membership association representing the U.S. bearing industry. The association carries out industry outreach, education, and advocacy work, including discussion of international issues of importance to the global bearing sector.
ANSI member and accredited standards developer the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently announced the hiring of Jessica Perry as its senior vice president for publications and media. Ms. Perry will oversee SHRM's print and digital publications, which include HR Magazine and SHRM Online, among other responsibilities.
Ms. Perry previously worked as vice president and general manager at the National Journal Group, where she oversaw digital strategy. She also served as a principal at Six Doors Digital Consulting, vice president of product planning and operations at Conde Nast, and business development lead at Yahoo, among other positions. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism/media from Illinois' Northwestern University.
