Webinar to Introduce First-of-its-Kind Resource to Aid Businesses in the Fight Against Identity Theft

New York, Jan 28, 2008

Members of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and other interested parties are invited to participate in an online discussion of a new report that will streamline access to the standards and best practices needed to combat identity theft and bolster fraud prevention.

Developed by the Identity Theft Prevention and Identity Management Standards Panel (IDSP), the new report will be published on Thursday, January 31, 2008, and a free webinar will be held that day at 2:00 p.m. EST to discuss the Panel’s findings and recommended next steps.

Participation is free of charge and is open to all members of the media, industry analysts, and representatives of industry, government, the scientific and technical communities, and other affected groups.

Copies of the report and log-in information for the webinar will be available at www.ansi.org/idsp on January 31, 2008.

Launched in September 2006, the IDSP was established by ANSI and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to identify and catalog existing standards, guidelines, and best practices related to identity theft prevention. For more information, visit www.ansi.org/idsp.
