3/29/2018

Register online for April 28 event

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released a draft agenda for the ANSI Organizational Member Forum (OMF). The meeting will highlight the changing landscape in standards development, on April 26, 2018 at the American Dental Association in Chicago, IL. All relevant stakeholders are encouraged to register online.

The leading session, Changing Landscape in Standards Development, will highlight the tools, training, and mentoring programs that organizations are employing to attract new members, leadership, and next generation talent. OMF members are encouraged to share their experiences and participate in the interactive discussion. OMF panelists will provide real life examples from their organizations, with representatives to include: Dan Smith, ASTM International, Stephanie Reiniche, ASHRAE, and Sharon Stanford, American Dental Association (ADA).

Another session, entitled How Users Engage with Standards and New Ways of Delivery, will examine how organizations are using XML, graphics, and magazine-like delivery and moving away from "static" approaches to standards development. Panelists to be confirmed shortly will discuss the technology innovations, tools, and systems that provide value to their organization's business.

Speakers for the Multiple Approaches to Standards Development session will examine how organizations decide when to develop a national standard versus an international standard, criteria, and how do they involve their members/stakeholders on their approaches. Panelists to be confirmed shortly will explore the process by which an organization chooses a specific pathway.

Lunch and time for networking will also be provided for attendees. ANSI members may access the agenda to get more details. Participants must register online to attend the event in person or join the webinar.
