1/05/2018

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) Standards Board (ASB) has appointed Teresa Ambrosius as its new Secretariat.

Ms. Ambrosius began working with ASB in January 2016 as technical coordinator. In this role, she created and managed the board's technical infrastructure supporting the organization's consensus work. She has an in-depth knowledge of data management and the documentation needs of standards development.

Ms. Ambrosius is on the ANSI Board of Standards Review, and participates in the ANSI Organizational Member Forum. She is the publications council director for SES - The Society for Standards Professionals, where she contributes to the management of the U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day Paper Competition. Ms. Ambrosius received the SES/CSA Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award in 2014, recognizing her outstanding contributions to SES.

The Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) and the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA), members and accredited standards developers of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), have named Erik Pritchard as president. Former president Tim Buche will remain president for the Motorcycle Industry Council and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Mr. Pritchard joined SVIA and ROHVA in 2014 as general counsel. Previously, he served as outside legal counsel for several years. In addition to his new role, he will continue to serve as general counsel for all the associations.

"Erik's promotion will make all the associations stronger and help us even more effectively support our numerous manufacturer and aftermarket members," Buche said. "Erik has surpassed all our expectations as general counsel and executive vice president. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of members and riders to promote and protect the four-wheel industry. So, along with all of our board members, I'm very happy to see Erik named president of SVIA and ROHVA."
