People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.
The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), announced two additions to its team.
Paul Blair is PCI's new chief financial officer. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Blair was the director of finance for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). There, he oversaw the organization's overall financial strategy, including cash flow analysis, cost management, and balance sheet optimization. He also guided CSCMP's investment portfolio analysis, procurement, treasury management, finance, and their corporate finance strategy function.
"Paul brings a wealth of financial experience in the nonprofit sector to PCI," said Bob Risser, PCI's president and chief executive officer. "His impressive management and strategic skills will help lead PCI into the forefront of professional organizations. We welcome him to our team and look forward to his contributions."
Dan Eckenrode has been named the executive director at PCI Gulf South, the regional affiliate organization of PCI serving its members in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Mr. Eckenrode brings with him over a decade of experience in the precast industry. Prior to joining PCI, he was the director of sales for Conewago Precast, where he was one of the original members of the precast team. He held many roles in that organization, including operations manager, project manager, and director of sales/estimating.
"PCI Gulf South is a newly formed chapter of PCI," said Johnnie Hayes, immediate past president of PCI Gulf South Region and senior sales representative at Forterra Structural & Specialty Products. "As such, we were looking for an executive director with knowledge of precast/prestressed concrete products along with the desire to build an organization. We believe that Dan is perfect for this role. With his leadership and work ethic, I am confident that we can promote the precast/prestressed industry in our region better than it's ever been done before."
