Last Chance in 2013: Accreditation Workshop on Personnel Certification on November 18-19

11/07/2013
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has updated its popular, two-day accreditation workshop on personnel certification activities to reflect the latest version of the international standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024General requirements for bodies operating certification schemes for persons.

New personnel certification body applicants for ANSI accreditation must follow the new 2012 version of the standard effective January 1, 2014. Currently accredited programs will need to demonstrate compliance with the new standard by July 1, 2015.

November 18-19 is the final workshop on ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 to be offered in 2013. Space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to register for the workshop right away to secure a place.

The workshop, Course 627, focuses on building an understanding of the standard's requirements, its benefits, and why it has become the benchmark for personnel certification.

The objective of ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 is to achieve and promote a globally accepted benchmark for bodies managing the certification of persons. The document has the consensus approval of more than 150 nations, has been adopted for use as the American National Standard, and is being increasingly recognized by the U.S. federal government, organized labor, and the certification industry.
