2004-2005 Annual Report Now Available

Washington, DC, Oct 05, 2005

The 2004-2005 Annual Report from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is now available. Designed to span two calendar years, the format of the report permits ANSI to align the written presentation of accomplishments with the report to members delivered at the Institute's annual business meeting.

Titled "Everyday People", the 2004-2005 Annual Report highlights the Institute's successes made possible through the ongoing support and commitment to voluntary standardization demonstrated by its diverse membership. It documents ANSI’s achievements and financial activities, highlighting the Institute’s outreach efforts in various regions and sectors of the world, continued partnerships with government agencies and industry, the implementation of an improved membership structure, expansion of conformity assessment programs, and enhanced electronic services.

"These are but a few of ANSI's many ongoing initiatives," said Dr. Mark W. Hurwitz, ANSI president and CEO. "From this overview, however, you can see that the American National Standards Institute is immersed in an exciting tide of change."

Copies of the report were made available at the Institute's Annual Business meeting earlier today; a full distribution to all ANSI member contacts will occur in the near future.

Additional copies are available upon request to the ANSI Public Relations team (tel: 212-642-4890; email: The 2004-2005 Annual Report is also available in an electronic format [click here to download].
