November ANSI Caucus to Feature Deputy Assistant to the Vice President

On Friday, November 2, the ANSI Caucus will feature Ramsen Betfarhad, deputy assistant to Vice President Cheney for domestic policy. During his presentation, Mr. Betfarhad will discuss the global supply chain.

Prior to joining the Vice President’s office, Mr. Betfarhad was the director of technology policy at the Eastman Kodak Co. Before joining Kodak, he was the majority counsel with the Energy and Commerce Committee, U.S. House of Representatives, and the policy director for the Committee’s Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection. He also served the Committee as counsel-economic advisor.

Before joining the Committee staff, Mr. Betfarhad was a telecommunications policy analyst at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and served at the Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission. He has worked with the law firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, and clerked for United States District Court Judge Wicker in New Orleans.

Mr. Betfarhad holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics and International Relations from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service; a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law; and an L.L.M in International and Comparative Law from the Georgetown University Law Center.

The November Caucus event will begin at 11:45 a.m. with general networking; lunch will be served promptly at 12:00 p.m. The National Press Club is located at 529 14th Street, NW, 13th Floor (Zenger Room).
