ANSI Launches New Member Referral Program

Incentive offered for participation by current ANSI members

New York, Nov 20, 2003

In a letter issued to ANSI members earlier this month, John Kalemkerian, ANSI vice-president of membership marketing, communications and education, announced the launch of a new Member Referral program. The initiative is the latest in a series of new projects to strengthen cross-sector participation in standardization and conformity assessment activities.

“ANSI members who have a colleague, customer, vendor, peer or friend who would benefit from membership in the Institute are invited to identify these prospects to ANSI’s membership team,” said Kalemkerian. “It is only by broadening the base of participation in ANSI activities that we will be able to advance the Institute’s efforts to ensure the competitiveness of U.S. business in the global marketplace and improve the quality of life for citizens around the world.”

Each prospect identified will be contacted with information about the Institute and the value of ANSI membership. As an incentive for participation, each referral qualifies the ANSI member submitting the contact information for an entry into a drawing for a $250 gift certificate. This drawing will be held in March 2004; the winner will be identified on ANSI Online and will receive their certificate by mail.

“The more names that each member refers, the better their chances to win,” stated Kalemkerian.
