People on the Move

People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that John R. Stoiber has assumed the role of president of the organization.

The former founder and CEO of six companies, Mr. Stoiber also spent seven years with Johnson Controls, Inc. where he worked on technologies related to energy efficiency, life safety, security and fire protection.

A certified management accountant, Mr. Stoiber holds a master’s degree in computer and software engineering and artificial intelligence. He also holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in strategy and finance.


The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, announced the appointment of Connie Paradise as director of communications and product development.

In her new role, Paradise will coordinate AIHA communications with an oversight of periodicals, public relations, publication development, centralized marketing, customer service, and career and employment services.

Having worked with AIHA for almost six years, Ms. Paradise has more than twenty-five years of experience in association management and held former assignments at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and at the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).

She currently sits in the Marketing Council of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and also chairs the Marketing and Communications section for the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE).
