People on the Move

10/27/2017

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Hydraulic Institute (HI), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced two additions to its team.

Edgar Suarez was appointed manager, technical programs for HI, where he will oversee the newest technical programs including the HI Pump Test Approval Program, the HI Energy Rating Level, and Pump System Assessment Professional (PSAP) certification program.

"In addition to being an engineer, Eddie has a strong background in accreditation and certification programs from his 6 years' experience working on similar programs for ASME," said Michael Michaud, HI executive director. "He will be an asset in growing the HI portfolio around energy efficiency."

Pamela Roccabruna has joined HI as its director, marketing, communications, and events. She will focus on expanding HI's message to a broader end user audience, strengthening the organization's value proposition for its members, and creating awareness for new programs and products.

Ms. Roccabruna has 20 years of experience in building and implementing marketing plans across multiple media channels and customer segments.

"With Pamela's understanding of customer segmentation and multi-media program development, I am confident she will play a key role with aligning the HI messaging to efficiently reach our various customers and create strong awareness for these growth areas," Mr. Michaud said.

"I am excited to add these new members to the HI team," Mr. Michaud commented. "Both positions are critical to our company's growth - in new program development as well as reinforcing the value HI brings to pump manufacturers, suppliers, and the entire pump user community."
