RMA Publishes Winter Driving Tips
The Rubber Manufacturers Association, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, offers stakeholders a list of tire-related tips for driving in dangerous winter conditions.

The association suggests that drivers use all-season or winter tires if they live in a snowy climate. Drivers should also take care to check tire pressure, because tire pressure drops when temperature does. If stuck in the snow, drivers should rock the vehicle gently back and forth. Spinning the tires too quickly may cause them to overheat and explode.

Learn more about these tips and others in the RMA news item.

RIA Webinar Gives the Basics on Robots
The Robotic Industries Association, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, is holding a webinar called Robot 101.

This free webinar will be geared towards newcomers to manufacturing and automation, and those who want to learn more about robotics. Listeners will hear about the history of robots, the future of the industry, and who the key players are. They will also learn what integrators do and how robots can provide benefits like reduced costs, improved quality and safety, and improved operations.

Robot 101 will be held January 12 from 12 to 1pm ET, or can be accessed as an archive after the live event. Click here to learn more and register.
